We are back open again! Its been great to see everyone coming back and getting stuck into their training after a nice break.
At the K-Star Fight Night, K-Star’s Founder and Chief Instructor Steve Logan was given an award for his work as a pioneer of Muay Thai In the Midlands. Steve started the first Full time Muay Thai Academy in Birmingham over 30 years ago and promoted the first Muay Thai events in the Midlands. Steve is still promoting and the K-Star Brand is still growing with 5 full time Academies now.

What a crazy year !!
WE survived the Lockdowns and got back to normal by the end of the year!
We Finally got to open our new Academy in Aldridge, this is the 5th K-Star Academy, info about Aldridge academy is HERE
We had a few fighters compete on shows, Gene Smith won the Midland Open Championships.
We had our home show at the H Suite on 5th December, which was a great success with fighters from 3 of our academeies competing, you can see photos from the event on our Facebook Page HERE
The show was on PPV and was viewed by people in USA, Cyprus and a few other places, The videos from the fights will soon be on YouTube. If you subscribe to our Channel, you will be the first to see them, SUBSCRIBE HERE
Xmas Closing – Last Lesson is on Thurs 23rd December and first lessons of the new year will be on Monday 3rd Jan. We will also be open for 5-6 hours a day during the break, so you can come and use the bags, pads and weights and running machines etc in the Apollo gym.

MMA Event, we are holding an MMA fight night on Saturday 21st July at the H Suite in Edgbaston, several fighters from K-Star will be taking part.

YELLOW AND GREEN BAND CLASSES:
These classes are specifically for YELLOW and GREEN bands only. This way we can keep an eye on everyone’s progress rather than having advanced and intermediates together.

RYAN MOORE – WORLD CHAMPION
Well done Ryan Moore who won the World Thai Boxing title in Italy!! Ryan trains on our Junior classes. He does the same classes as everyone else, learns the same techniques as everyone else.

That Combined with a LOT of HARD work and determination on his behalf, he is now a World Champion. So use that as confidence that you are in good hands here at K-Star.
Thanks to everyone that donated to help get him to Italy.
From our City Centre Branch we also have Ryan Costello and Amurs Sandhu who also won Gold in Italy. 3 fighters from K-Star went 3 came back with Gold Medals!! Well done!
SPECIAL CLASSES
To help improve our service to you and make the gym as good as possible we have listened to our members and we are making it possible for everyone over yellow band to attend all the classes.
We are starting to make the classes padwork and skill based, NO sparring. Then we have special separate Sparring Classes. So far we are doing this on Tuesday
6pm Padwork. 6.45- 7.15p Sparring Only, You can come to just one or both sessions, its up to you.
NEW EQUIPMENT
You may have noticed that we have been investing in a lot of new equipment recently. We have a lot of great comments from the members who are really happy about this. We will have more soon, making K-Star even better!!
INTERCLUB
We are going to have K-Star Perry Barr members only interclub on Sat 19th November at Perry Barr. Free for spectators and just £3 for fighters (to cover the cost of medals) please let us know asap if you want to take part or help out with the running.
JUNIOR ENGLISH CHAMPIONSHIPS
We will be taking a team of junior fighters to the English open Championships on Sun 27th November. If you are interested let us know.
MUAY THAI IN THE CAGE
On Sat 26th November some of our members will be fighting Muay Thai in the cage at the Tower ballroom, tickets are just £20 if you are interested in going.
